Description: Hotel Floyd continues the Music in the Mountains 2018 Concert Series with Mitch Clark on Thursday, May 31, 2018.

Beloved by others for his bluesy soul-filled pop rock vocals, freelancing melodies, and down to earth charm, Mitch Clark is a young, up-and-coming singer/songwriter that hopes to catch his new found fans with that same charm in his music.

Music began for Mitch late in his freshman year of college in 2009. A friend handed him a guitar and said, "…take this home, learn how to play it…" That is exactly what he did, quickly picking up this music thing, and then running with it. His passion for the art developed in such a short time, and can be seen just watching him play or hearing him talk about playing music. "I have watched faces go from blank to smiling after hearing me play, that is such a fulfilling feeling and a happiness I hope to continue to spread through new melodies and my own twists on songs."

Mitch is fairly new to the live music scene but has accomplished quite a bit in a short time as a musician. He has traveled all around the eastern half of the United States playing at over 80 colleges and universities to date. He is completely self taught with no lessons of any kind and has also taught himself piano. After his first year in the college market, Mitch was named APCA's 2015 National Male Solo Performer of the Year, APCA's 2015 National Entertainer of the Year, and Campus Activities Magazine's 2015 Readers Choice Awards Fastest Rising Star! Quite the accomplishments in the first year!

Inspired by the likes of Gavin Degraw, John Mayer, Amos Lee, Gavin James, and bands like Needtobreathe, Mitch has developed a unique but popular sound that many say could easily be put on the radio today.
