Description: Community Cello Works and master teacher Lisa Liske-Doorandish present CelloFest 2018 with the theme "Music In A Land of Immigrants: Music From Where We're From" on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Blacksburg, VA.

The Twelfth Annual Celebration of the Art of the Cello features advanced students from the studio and guest professional cellists performing music from the diverse countries of their ancestry. The program includes music by Grieg, Bach, Glass, Vali, Dvorak, Popper, Boccherini, and Foss.

Students ages three through adult will perform in cello ensemble pieces from around the world, some conducted by Dr. Wesley Baldwin of the University of Tennessee (Knoxville). Cellists will be supported by the highly-esteemed collaborative pianist Erica Sipes.

Donations will be graciously accepted at the door.

Families with children are encouraged to attend, even if they have to leave early or go in and out. This program is for all ages, with many styles of music to enjoy.

Unitarian Universalist Congregation is located at 1301 Gladewood Drive in Blacksburg, VA.
