Sapphire Ballroom & Dance Center presents a Beginner Dance Workshop featuring the Merengue and Carolina Shag on Friday, June 22, 2018. Come out to Sapphire Ballroom to try something new, meet some cool people, and learn a skill that you will enjoy for years to come. In 90 minutes, for less than the cost of a movie, the friendly instructors at Sapphire will teach you the basics of Merengue (the ultimate Latin party dance) and Carolina Shag (the groovy dance from the beaches of North and South Carolina). Both hot summer dances perfect for dancing on vacation at the beach or in your living room, pretending you're at the beach. Finish the evening fun with a small taste of a ballroom classic, the Waltz. All dances taught from the beginning so no experience is required. Singles, couples, and groups are always welcome.
