As part of Blacksburg Sustainability Week 2018, enjoy a free Eco-Movie Matinee featuring the family film "The Lorax" on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at The Lyric Theatre. Inspired by the beloved children’s book by Dr. Seuss, "The Lorax" follows a 12-year old in a place virtually devoid of nature; no flowers or tress grow in the town of Thneedville. Ted sets out in search of the fabled Truffula tree. To find it, he delves into the story of the Lorax, once the gruff guardian of the forest, and the Once-ler, who let greed overtake his respect for nature.
