The Pearisburg Merchants Association presents the 4th Annual Pearisburg Scarecrow Festival on Saturday, October 13, 2018 on Wenonah Avenue and Tazewell Streets in downtown Pearisburg, VA from 9:00 am till 5:00 pm. Join in the fun of this family friendly event featuring live music, vendors, food, wrestling on Tazewell Street, petting zoo, car & motorcycle cruise-in, living history, dancing, and more! Featured guests are over 18 scarecrows, created by local businesses, organizations and groups, that will be displayed throughout the town. Tentative Schedule of Events: • 9:00 am: Mayor and Spirits of Joy • 9:00 am: Car and Motorcycle Cruise In • 9:00 am - 2:00 pm: Rolling Hills Petting Zoo and Pony Rides • 9:30 am: Cow Pie Bingo • 9:45 am Dance Motion • 10:00-11:00 am: Tron Nation (Scarecrow) • 10:15 am: Cutest Little Farmer (up to 5 yrs old) Boy or Girl • 10:30 am: Tommy Griffith • 11:00 am: Children’s activities on Courthouse Lawn • 11:45 am: Cutest Baby Contest ($10.00 entry fee) • 12:00 pm: Giles County School of Dance • 12:00-2:00 pm: Captain Jack the Pirate • 1:30 pm: Photos with Captain Jack at Stage Area • 1:45 pm: Scarecrow Costume Contest (All Ages) • 2:00 pm: Photo in the Wrestling Ring Available • 2:30-3:30 pm: Terry Mullins Music Performance • 3:00 pm: Wrestling • 5:00 pm: DJ Music at GearHead Junction • 5:00 pm: Beer Garden at Gearhead Junction • 6:00-8:00 pm: Ride N Shotgun Band Concert at Gearhead Junction Admission is free and all are welcome. Some activities have an additional charges. There will be Special Appearances by The BombShell Girls, Shriner’s Kazim Clowns and The Boogie Woogie Man, Jimmy Valiant.
