The New River Valley Habitat for Humanity and the New River Valley TimeBank will be hosting their third Repair Cafe event on Saturday, October 13th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Habitat ReStore in Christiansburg, VA. A Repair Cafe is a free event that promotes repair as an alternative to throwing things out. Community members are invited to bring up to three small items for repair. We will have sewing, furniture repair, small electronics & appliance repair, IT support and knife & tool sharpening. In addition, learn more about the newest Habitat and TimeBank collaboration, the development of a community Tool Lending Library.
