The Lyric Theatre continues their Live at the Lyric series featuring Langhorne Slim & The Lost Band with special guests The Watson Twins in concert on Friday, November 9, 2018. Closing out the Live at the Lyric Fall Series is the one and only Langhorne Slim and the Lost at Last Band! Langhorne Slim is an Americana singer-songwriter who began to gain public notice through several years of touring with the Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players and an appearance at the Bonnaroo Music Festival. Langhorne Slim is no stranger to the world of popular culture and commercial success. "Lost At Last Vol. 1" is his sixth full-length album throughout his career he has been defined by reflective songwriting and passionate delivery. Slim’s last album cycle alone garnered him his third appearance on Conan O’Brien’s late-night show, as well as a feature on CBS Saturday Morning, and the highest charting debut of his career. O’Brien, a personal fan of Slim stated, “After one listen, I became an instant, almost obsessive fan.” Slim has consistently toured on his own, and has appeared on extensive worldwide runs throughout his career with artists such as The Lumineers, The Avett Brothers, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Gregory Alan Isakov, Josh Ritter, The Devil Makes Three, Sara Watkins, and more. He’s also appeared on many festival stages, such as Bonnaroo, Newport Folk Festival, Outside Lands, Lollapalooza, and the Philadelphia Folk Festival. The twins moved to the thriving music scene of Silver Lake, Los Angeles in the early 2000’s where their sound “developed a style of sweet, soulful indie-folk that does more than nod to alt-country influences” (NPR). The twins released four albums and spent a lot of time on the road during their time in LA. But it was when they relocated to Nashville five years ago that they began to focus on the power of their signature harmonies. In recent years the Watson Twins have toured in support of their own releases Pioneer Lane, Night Covers, Talking to You, Talking to Me, Fire Songs & Southern Manners, as well as continuing to perform as back-up vocalists for some of music's most notable acts.
