The Virginia Tech School of Performing Arts presents the play "Angels in America, Part One: Millennium Approaches" with performances starting on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 through Wednesday, November 14, 2018 inside the Squires Studio Theatre. Performance Dates: • November 7, 2018 at 7:30 pm • November 8, 2018 at 7:30 pm • November 9, 2018 at 7:30 pm • November 11, 2018 at 2:00 pm • November 12, 2018 at 7:30 pm • November 13, 2018 at 7:30 pm • November 14, 2018 at 7:30 pm Against the backdrop of the AIDS crisis, Tony Kushner’s epic play "Angels in America" interrogates and defends our country with these questions. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and Tony Award for Best Play, "Millennium Approaches" sees the progress our future holds. A future where someone can find the strength to build a new life. A future where someone can find love while eating hot dogs and sipping Pepto Bismol on the steps of a courthouse. A future where Prior Walter can escape all the Walters who came before him, through the guidance of an Angel. A bright future. Tickets are $12.00 for the general public and $10.00 for students with an ID and seniors. Tickets can be purchased online, in person at the Student Centers and Activities Ticket Office on the first floor of the Squires Student Center or by phone by calling the Ticket Office at 540-231-5615. Advance ticket purchases are encouraged to avoid waiting in-line at the box office. Tickets, if not sold out, will also be available at the box office one hour prior to the performance.
