Description: Warm Hearth presents the Clangin' Around Christmas Concert on Saturday, December 22, 2018 in Tall Oaks Performance Hall located within the Warm Hearth Village Center.

Our Christmas concert will feature seasonal Christmas songs, some vocal selections, and even an audience sing-along or two. So be sure to bring your family, friends, and best holiday spirit for a concert that will truly “ring in” Christmas cheer!

Clangin’ Around is a unique hand chime and handbell ensemble based in Blacksburg, VA. The group has 6 ringers, Goldie Terrell, Judy McCord, Nancy Norton, Jean Shock, Mary Lee Hendricks, and Mark Freeman, and an arranger-director, Thomas DeBusk. Together, they play 4 octaves of hand chimes and 5 octaves of handbells. Their repertoire includes a variety of music from multiple genres. Many of their songs are original arrangements created by Thomas DeBusk and includes songs like "Jolly Old St. Nicholas", "Silent Night", "Mary Had a Baby", and many more.

Clangin’ Around isn’t a typical church’s handbell choir, where ringers play 4 or 5 notes, and no more. And it’s nothing like playing a keyboard instrument, where the notes are always in the same place. There’s a visual component to our performances, as some members play as many as a dozen chimes and/or bells in a single song, frequently managing two in one hand. Clangin’ Around has performed at a number of venues in the New River Valley, and we’re continuously expanding their musical repertoire.

Admission is free.
