Walk or Talk: Not the same ol' Song & Dance:

Date: February 27, 2019
Time: 12:00 - 1:00 PM
Venue: Hahn Horticulture Garden (Virginia Tech)
Description: The Hahn Horticulture Garden at Virginia Tech continues their Walk or Talk series with "Not the same ol' Song & Dance" on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 starting at the Peggy Lee Hahn Garden Pavilion.

Brighten up your February by joining us for a Wednesday 'Walk or Talk'! Manakins are a family of songbirds found only in the forests of Central and South America. This family of birds is known for performing crazy acrobatics to impress choosy females and is considered to be the gymnasts of the bird world. Ben Vernasco, Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Biological Sciences and Interfaces of Global Change Fellow, will introduce you to the Manakins and share some of his research on the cooperative display behavior of the wire-tailed manakin.

This talk is free and open to the public.

All Wednesday 'Walk or Talks' start at 12:00 pm and will meet at the pavilion.

A visitor pass is required to park in the Hahn Garden visitor lot. Come early to grab a pass from the Hahn Garden staff and find a place to park before the talk begins.
