UPDATE: Due to unexpected circumstances, the New River Valley Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association has made the difficult decision to cancel their Wine Festival at Virginia Tech on June 1st. The New River Valley Alumni Chapter will be hosting the 11th annual Wine Festival at Virginia Tech on Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 12:00-5:00 pm on the grounds of the Holtzman Alumni Center, adjacent to the Inn at Virginia Tech. The festival will feature wineries from around the region, food and beverage concessions, specialty items from local vendors and music. Tickets are $20.00 until May 15th, $25.00 in advance and $30.00 at the gate. As always, we will have non-wine tasting passes for $5.00 and those under 18 years of age are admitted free. To purchase tickets online, visit: . VIP and group ticket packages will also be available for purchase. All proceeds go toward our chapter scholarship fund which benefits New River Valley area high school students attending Virginia Tech. The Wine Festival at Virginia Tech offers the opportunity to enjoy the festivities while helping the local community. Each year we award scholarships to high school seniors in the area who will attend Virginia Tech in the fall, including transfer students. Since 1990, the chapter has provided support to almost 220 students and awarded almost $175,000 in scholarships. The event is rain or shine.
