Historic Smithfield presents their 2019 Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony on Monday, May 27, 2019. Join us to help us recognize, remember and celebrate our Preston family veterans on Memorial Day. Help us thank them for their service by placing flags and flowers on their grave sites in the Preston Family Cemetery on site. This is a free, family friendly event. To get to the Cemetery, you may either: • Park in the Smithfield parking lot and walk, following signs. • From Prices Fork: follow Prices Fork taking a right onto West Campus Drive. From here, take a right onto Duck Pond Drive. Follow Duck Pond Drive to Southgate Dr and follow the road patterns like you are heading to Rt 460. Take a right onto a small gravel construction road at the traffic circle and keep an eye out for signs. Follow this gravel road until it ends and then continue driving on grass, up the hill to the cemetery. There will be signs.
