UPDATE: Due to the threat of heavy rain, the entire event has been moved to Rising Silo Brewery. Friends of the Huckleberry Trail and the Town of Blacksburg present the Huckleberry Trail Extension Grand Opening at Rising Silo Brewery on Thursday, June 20, 2019. Celebrate the opening of the Huckleberry Trail extension. There will be a ribbon cutting on the boardwalk at 3:30 pm followed by complimentary celebratory beverages at Rising Silo Brewery. Attendees are asked to park at the Glade Road parking lot at Heritage Park or at Rising Silo where there will be a shuttle available to take attendees to the trailhead on Linwood Lane. The shuttle will depart at 3:00 pm and 3:15 pm. Carpooling is strongly encouraged due to limited parking. Please allow for a 15-minute walk from the trailhead to the new boardwalk. Alternative transportation will be available for those requiring assistance. In the event of rain, the festivities will take place indoors at Rising Silo Brewery.
