Dogtown Roadhouse presents The HC Oakes Band in concert on Saturday, July 20, 2019. In 2014, Nick Elhini and HC Oakes started playing acoustic shows in the Lake Norman area of North Carolina. Since then the band has added Paul Marshburn on guitar and vocals, Mike Robertson on bass and Amy Ehrlich on vocals and play over 125 shows a year in an assortment of venues around the greater Charlotte area, Virginia and South Carolina. The band’s impressive lineup of experienced musicians includes Paul and HC’s tasteful guitar fills and electrifying leads anchored by the rhythm section of Mike’s fluid bass lines and Nick’s dynamic and expressive percussion. And if that is not enough, HC and Amy deliver some of the best lead vocals around, and with Paul, provide soulful three part harmonies. Their music covers a wide array of music genres including covers of rock, country, blues and folk favorites to original songs written by the band. The members love to interact with the crowd and provide an entertaining show for any event. The band performances range from solos by HC to various combinations of duos and trios all the way to a five member band, acoustic and electric.
