Historic Smithfield presents their annual Independence Day Celebration on Thursday, July 4, 2019 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. Help us celebrate the 243rd birthday of our Nation by attending our Independence Day Celebration! Plan to join us and spend the day at a house that saw the beginning of our country and enjoy! Activities include: • Readings of the Declaration of Independence & the Fincastle Resolutions • Blacksmith demonstrations • Historic house tours • Children's activities • Participate in our annual apple pie contest and more! Admission to the event is $5.00 per adult, $1.00 for kids under 12 and free for kids under 2. Regular admission rates for house tours apply.
