Description: The Moss Arts Center at Virginia Tech presents National Geographic Live with “Coral Kingdoms and Empires of Ice” on Tuesday, September 17, 2019.

Discover the reality of life behind the camera from parasites to harp seal bites as the underwater photographic team of David Doubilet and Jennifer Hayes share their adventures working in three unique marine environments for National Geographic.

Doubilet is one of the most prolific living photographers at National Geographic magazine and jokes that he’s spent more of his waking hours underwater than on dry land. His wife, Hayes, is an aquatic biologist and a globally published photojournalist. Join them on a visual journey of their National Geographic assignments to three unique marine environments.

Go beyond the published story with Doubilet and Hayes as they share never-before-seen images from their assignments. Discover the reality of life behind the camera—from parasites to harp seal bites—as they share their adventures working to get the best shot.

Tickets can be purchased online, in person at the Moss Arts Center Box Office Monday-Friday from 10:00 am - 5:30 pm and Saturday 10:00 am - 4:00 pm and by phone at 540-231-5300.
