Description: The Montgomery Museum of Art & History celebrates it's annual Heritage Day on Saturday, August 24, 2019 on the lawn at the museum and on East Main Street in downtown Christiansburg, VA.

Heritage Day is a celebration of Montgomery County, VA and its history. There will be food and live entertainment all day including main stage performances from Fort Vause, Dean Trimble and Kathie & John Hollandsworth. A variety of vendors and demonstrators will be at the event including spinning, basket weaving, rug hooking, leather goods, gourmet BBQ sauce, wooden items and more.

The Adult Pie Cook-Off will feature $100.00 in cash prizes with two categories, sweet and savory. Entries must be received at the Cook-Off Tent by noon. The Children's Pie Cook-Off for ages 12 and under will feature a trophy for the winner.

After the pie judging, samples will be available for purchase. $1.00 buys four samples.

The Silent Auction bidding ends at 2:30 pm at Heritage Day. There will also be raffles for a Yeti Cooler, four $200.00 gift cards and a 50/50 cash raffle.

During the garden tours of Beth's Garden, Beth will be sharing her knowledge of insects that are found in the garden and lawn, plant seedlings will be for sale and information on rainbarrels will be available. Beth's garden includes a perennial section with vegetables and a native plant garden.
