The Virginia Tech School of Performing Arts presents the 16th Annual Progeny Short Film Festival on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the Lyric Theatre. The 16th annual Progeny Film Festival showcases high-quality, do-it-yourself-spirited filmmaking, especially by independent filmmakers and students within Southwest Virginia that will be screened and judged. Categories include: narrative, documentary, experimental, animated, super short and high school. Admission is free and no ticket required. The Progeny Film Festival mission is to foster and showcase short, thoughtful, independent-minded, DIY-spirited, artful films by filmmakers from Southwest Virginia and the surrounding areas.
