Wytheville Community College Theatre presents the play "The Red Velvet Cake War" with four performances starting on Friday, November 1, 2019 through Saturday, November 9, 2019 in Snyder Auditorium on the campus of Wytheville Community College. Performance Schedule: • Friday, November 1st at 7:30 pm • Saturday, November 2nd at 7:30 pm • Friday, November 8th at 7:30 pm • Saturday, November 9th at 7:30 pm "The Red Velvet Cake War", a Jones Hope Wooten comedy, is about the worst family reunion ever! This riotous comedy features the three Verdeen cousins, who are always one step away from catastrophe. Gaynelle, Peaches and Jimmie Wyvette are engaged in a winner-take-all contest with their Aunt LaMerle to determine who can make the best red velvet cake, while simultaneously hosting the Verdeen family reunion and trying to prove to a court appointed psychologist that Gaynelle is not insane. A one-eyed suitor and a wise-cracking uncle combine with wacky neighbors and a bumbling sheriff to complete the comic chaos. Tickets are $8.00 for the general public and $7.00 for students and senior students. Tickets will be available at the door 30 minutes prior to each performance.
