Arkenstone is a Southwest Virginia band celebrating classic American and British Rock from the 1960s and 1970s. The band is comprised of four lifelong musicians who have been refining their musical styles since childhood. Their style of classic American and British rock cover songs could be called “Hobbit Rock". Their influences include classic bands such as Led Zeppelin, Steely Dan and The Eagles as well as Aretha Franklin, Linda Ronstadt and many others.

Nico Cooley is an Alabama native formerly living in Maryland who settled in Floyd, Virginia in 2004. She is known for etherial lead vocals and acoustic rhythm guitar. Her work in the band “Kiva”, was nominated for a Washington Area Music (“Wammie") Award.

Peter Golladay is from Blacksburg and adds soaring lead guitar and vocals. He also leads the Peter Golladay Trio playing jazz at local venues.

Bill Pettus is a Northern Virginia native now living in Blacksburg who was a child prodigy appearing on Johnny Carson’s “Tonight Show” playing stellar drums at the age of six!

Stephen Wallace, originally from the Richmond area, is well known locally from his work in the C.C. Coates Band as well as other local groups. He brings many years of experience on bass, keyboards, and vocals.

Arkenstone is excited to bring the nostalgic jams and fun rock grooves that move people!
