The Virginia Tech Women's Club presents their Winter Luncheon with Retired COL Bud Jeffries on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 11:30 AM at Hyatt Place Blacksburg / University. Hope you can join us for this fabulous opportunity to hear Col. Lewis Ingles Jeffries (“Bud”). He will talk about his ancestor, Mary Draper Ingles. In 1755, Mary and several family members were captured during a raid on their settlement and taken to Bigbone, Kentucky. Determined to return home, not only did Mary walk hundreds of miles following the ebb and flow of the New River, but she faced starvation, exposure to the elements, and the risk of being captured all over again. The cost is $22.00 per person and includes lunch and the program. Reservations are required.
