Description: The Girl Scouts of Virginia Skyline presents Protect Your Treasure: Cybersecurity Party for girls in Pre-K through 3rd grade with two sessions on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Downtown Park in Christiansburg, VA.

Event Schedule:
• 1st Session: 5:00-6:00 PM
• 2nd Session: 6:00-7:00 PM

Calling all girls in grades Pre-K through 3rd grade, you’re invited to join Girl Scouts at our I.R.L. (In Real Life). Imagine you could select a select a “treasure,” put it inside a box, decorate the box, and then work together to protect it. At the party, we'll try this cybersecurity activity and learn about malware, viruses, cyberattacks, and networks and more! Participants will earn the K-3 Cybersecurity patch.

This event hopes to recruit new members to the wonderful world of Girl Scouts! We'll show you how Girl Scouts have fun and stay safe no matter what great activity we're doing.

To register for the free event, visit: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/protect-your-treasure-cybersecurity-party-april-20th-christiansburg-tickets-148943639435.

Girls will have designated spaces 10 ft away from each other to do Robot Building activities. Participants should attend with a parent or caregiver.

Parents, while your girl enjoys the party, we'll get to know each other and share ideas on how Girl Scouts can supercharge your girl's life.

We will closely incorporate all COVID-19 safety measures needed to ensure a fun time is had by all. This includes requiring masks at all times except when sitting with ones own family.

Downtown Park is located at 55 College Street in Christiansburg, VA.
