The Eastmont Community Foundation continues the 2025 Oldtown Nights Concert Series featuring The Harwell Grice Bluegrass Band on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Oldtown Fields in Shawsville, VA. Join us for our 9th season of live music concerts at Old Town Fields with a large open green space that is family and children friendly! The Harwell Grice Band has been entertaining audiences throughout Virginia nonstop, since late 2003. Based in Franklin County, VA, their original bluegrass and Americana mixed with a large repertoire of traditionals and even a few popular covers result in a very entertaining show. The band's musical arrangements and three and four-part harmonies are some of the best in the business. Their lyrics are both meaningful and honest while staying true to the traditions and themes of Appalachian music. Concessions and drinks including adult beverages for those ages 21 & up will be available for purchase. Please bring cash for tickets and beer sales. Only limited credit card sales available. Please bring your own chairs and/or blankets. No tents or umbrellas allowed. Ages 16 & under must be accompanied by an adult. No outside drinks and no pets permitted. Only service dogs are allowed. Gates open at 5:30 PM and the music begins at 6:00 PM. The OldTown Night Concert Series benefits the Eastmont Community Foundation which provides opportunity and empowering community for the Eastern Montgomery County, Virginia.
