The Christiansburg Library presents the program "Sadie's Diaries: A Local History Program" on Saturday, August 8, 2026. Join local historian and transcribers as they continue the story of Sarah Eliza VanPelt Summers through her own words. This autobiographical collection recorded her daily life in Snowville, Christiansburg, and other parts of the New River Valley during the Great Depression. Copies of the book will be for sale, cash only. Copies are also available for check out. This is a Montgomery County 250 and Virginia 250 Event. The Christiansburg Library is located at 125 Sheltman Street in Christiansburg, VA.
