Description:
Dr. Christopher White (saxophone) and Dr. R Wayne Gallops (piano) will present a faculty recital entitled, "Crossovers: Sonatas from the Jazz World". The program is to celebrate works written by Jazz musicians in this most standard of classical forms.

Included will be works by Oliver Nelson, Alec Wilder and Phil Woods. The recital will conclude with "A Tribute to Etta James", featuring works made famous by the iconic and recently deceased jazz and blues singer.

The program begins at 8 pm in the Performance Hall in the Covington Center. Admission is free and open to the public.
