Radford University will pay tribute to the land of the rising sun with its first Japanese Cultural Awareness in Appalachia Week. On Wednesday, April 4th at the Hurlburt Student Center plaza, a Japanese sword fighting and weaponry demonstration will be held.
The week will also include a series of lectures on contemporary society and cultural issues relating to business, gender and education in Japan and a film festival. All events are free and open to the public. The aim is to expand the university's focus on international issues.
