Description:
The Radford University Choral Union, conducted by Director of Choral Activities David Castonguay, will present the annual oratorio concert on Monday, 16 April, 2012 at 8:00 pm in the Performance Hall of the Covington Center for Visual and Performing Arts. The combined university choirs with student soloists and a festival orchestra will perform two Bach cantatas.

BWV 78 "Jesu der du meine Seele" "Jesus you are my spirit" and BWV 94 "Was frag ich nach der Welt." "What do I ask of the world."

In addition to these two major works for chorus and orchestra the Madrigal Singers will perform several selections from their concert tour of Russia. The choir will depart on 18 April for a tour sponsored by the Russian Ministry of Culture, the US State Department and the Radford University Arts Society.
