The Blacksburg Historic Lecture Series invites you to attend a lecture on the Freshwater Heritage in Blacksburg on May 24th.
Water has been a defining resource for Blacksburg since the area was first explored by Native Americans and later by European settlers. This talk will explore why Blacksburg is situated where it is and the role of water throughout its history.
Note: The original topic for May, "African-American Owned Businesses" had to be postponed.
The Historic Lecture Series is cosponsored by the Blacksburg Museum and Cultural Foundation and Historic Smithfield Plantation.
