Diane Relf, Professor Emeritus Department of Horticulture at VT, will delight the audience with an enthusiastic presentation and slideshow featuring private and public gardens throughout New Zealand.
As the Consumer Horticulture Extension Specialist, she provided leadership in establishing the Master Gardener program in Virginia. Nationally and internationally she is best known for her role in the establishing the American Horticultural Therapy Association and the International People Plant Council.
Since retiring, Diane has become increasingly involved in both promoting and making art. She is past president of the Eastmont Art Association in Shawsville and is affiliated with the Fusion Art Gallery in Lumsden, New Zealand, where she and her husband spend three months each winter and are renovating an early 1920 settler’s cottage.
