Description:
In an effort to continue the memory of Eddie Yeatts and his involvement in the community, we have started a foundation and golf tournament. Each year the Tournament Committee will designate as a beneficiary(ies) a charity that was close to Eddie’s heart. Our hope is that Eddie’s memory will allow for others to win the battle that he lost.
The 2012 golf tournament will be held at Blacksburg Country Club on Monday June 25, 2012. The format will be Captain's Choice.
Schedule:
Registration: Begins at 11:30 am
Lunch: Noon to 1:00 pm
Tee Times: 1:00 Shotgun
Awards/Cocktails: Following competition (~6:00 pm)
Golfers can register as a four person team or as an individual. Fee includes green fees, cart, range balls, tournament souvenir, lunch, post-round reception, three beverage tickets and golfer goodie bag per golfer.
Participant entries are due by May 25, 2012
In 2012, we have again chosen the V Foundation to honor his and others courageous battle with cancer. In addition, to honor Eddie's love of the holidays and children, we have selected the Montgomery County Christmas Store. During his life, many of Eddie's charitable efforts were for veterans; therefore, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) of Christiansburg, Virginia, will also be a beneficiary in 2012.
