Description:
The Tenth Annual Henry Reed Memorial Fiddlers Convention will held in Glen Lyn, VA on June 8-9, 2012. This festival honors the life and music of local old-time fiddler Henry Reed and is proud to reach the decade mark!
Friday's activities will officially began at 5 pm and will start with a set of featured bands including the Reed Family Band, the Crooked Road Ramblers and State Line Bluegrass.
Individual and band competitions will be held on Saturday afternoon. Alan Jabbour will offer a two day fiddle workshop from 10 am - 12 pm on Friday and Saturday mornings.
There is plenty of camping space available on-site as well as electricity and there will be an assortment of fun-filled music and river-related activities available.
Concessions from Old Virginia Smokehouse will be available for purchase.
Glen Lyn Town Park is located in Glen Lyn (near the Virginia/West Virginia border in Giles County) on Virginia Avenue.
