Description:
These affordable classes for kids ages 6 to 16 give the participants the chance to learn a new craft or the opportunity to make a Father’s Day gift.
Sarah Greene’s Playing with Clay allow children ages 6 to 9 to get their hands dirty and explore the world of clay. Participants will make pinch pots, coil pots and sculptural works.
Students ages 10 to 14 will join Jax’s Pottery Studio Manager, Sidra Kaluszka, learning the basics of ceramic construction to give them a feel for pottery so that their creativity can run wild. Students in Fun with Clay will design their own platter and will even try throwing on the wheel.
The older kids, 10 to 16, can join cartoonist Micah Acord in Comic Express and learn the ins and out of writing and drawing graphic novels, learning how to properly pencil and ink ideas and the process of finishing a comic page.
All classes are $25 per student which includes materials. Pre-registration is recommended.
