Mark your calendars for the August's Up on the Roof - Thursday, August 30th at 5:30 pm on the rooftop of Kent Square. Food, Beverages, Live Music, Fun and Good Friends!

Roanoke's PolyChrome will be providing the music. PolyChrome – definition: being of many or various colors. Created in 2009, this extremely experienced pop/rock trio lives up to their name. Not only have the members, Sean Bera - Vocals and Guitar, Mark Lynch - Drums, and Perry Mabry – Bass Guitar, come... from diverse and colorful musical backgrounds ranging from the Mountains of Virginia to the streets of Philadelphia & Baltimore, but they know how to produce a colorful array of sound on the stage as well.

The crowd is taken on a musical journey from one song to the next as PolyChrome explores genres from the 60’s Beatles, to the 80’s Men at Work, to the present with Gavin DeGraw or even Ke$ha. Add some rejuvenated renditions of Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire” or Soft Cell’s “Tainted Love” and the PolyChrome effect becomes unmistakable.

Although admission to our event is FREE - In order to keep the high quality of our events through the season and help us attract young and creative professionals in the area that we hope will attend our events, we are asking you to consider donating $5 to our non-profit, Downtown Events Inc, (the producers of Up on the Roof) at the entrance. It is still the best deal in town!

In exchange for your donation you will get food, 3 drink tickets and the opportunity to network and be social with like-minded people who are new or established in town! Otherwise, come join us for FREE and get a FREE drink, food and mingling time! Additional drink tickets are $3.00 each.

You must be 21 to enter - please bring your ID. Thanks everyone and see you there!

Proceeds from this year's events will go to finishing The Downtown Mural Project on Jackson and Draper! Your contribution at our events will help Downtown Blacksburg continue to grow creatively!
