Description:
The 2nd Annual Mountain Top Trot 5 mile and 10 mile Trail Run will be held on Saturday, September 29th at the Mountain Lake Conservancy trail system. The race is limited to the first 200 participants.

The staging area for the race will take place at the Old Horse Barn meadow just above the year-round trail access parking lot off of Route 613 (approximately 1 mile past the Mountain Lake Hotel).

The purpose of the race is to savor the magical fall foliage and cool mountain-top temperatures of Salt Pond Mountain. This is also a fundraiser event to benefit the Mountain Lake Conservancy.

8-9:30 am - Registration
10:00 am - 10 Mile Start
10:05 am - 5 Mile Start

The Mountain Top Trot is a fundraiser event for the Mountain Lake Conservancy. Located atop Salt Pond Mountain in Giles County, Virginia, the Mountain Lake Conservancy & Hotel consists of 2,600 acres of privately-owned, forested property including over 20 miles of multi-use trail. The Mountain Lake Conservancy’s purpose is to further Mary Moody Northen’s desire to forge bonds between people and nature in Mountain Lake’s unique environment.
