Join the Blacksburg Library for an evening book talk on the last Tuesday of each month. Discuss the book of the month and meet fellow book lovers.
This month we’ll talk about The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot. Henrietta Lacks was a poor Southern tobacco farmer who sought medical attention. Without her knowledge, a doctor took cancer cells from her body, and those cells lived on to become one of the most important tools in medicine.
