Gillie's welcomes M.H. & His Orchestra and Uglyography to the stage for a Late Night show on Friday, September 14th.
M.H. & His Orchestra are an orchestral pop group known for their explosive live performances and interestingly engineered recordings. Their penchant remains a powerful combo of danceable percussion, sweeping strings, blasting horns and an inviting mix of genre cross-overs with nods to old school R&B, Calypso, Latin, Cocek and century spanning Western pop music.

Uglyography began in the summer of 2005 in the attic of an old home in Hampton, Virginia. Finding his way around his home-built recording studio, Matthew Thomas (formerly of The Outer Loop, Lord Bowler, and Grease Sky Band) wrote and recorded his first solo album, Love Boat. He named his project Uglyography in honor of his terribly illegible handwriting.
From 2009 to 2010, Thomas recorded a second Uglyography album, Undercover New Machine. ln fall 2011, the lineup grew to include Al Dimaggio, DJ Blake, and Jack Morgan for a complete energy-driven live experience. The band has played extensively in Hampton Roads and beyond is planning regular regional traveling and touring for the rest of 2011 into 2012.
