Radford University welcomes the 282nd Army Jazz Combo: Groove Sophisticate to Performance Hall for a free performance on Friday, September 7th.

The 282nd Army Jazz Combo Groove Sophisticate provides a mixture of jazz from the 1920’s through today. One of the most requested groups from the 282nd Army Band, “Groove Sophisticate” provides a unique combination of contemporary, soul, swing and cool jazz.

“Groove Sophisticate” typically performs at festivals, colleges, social events, celebrations and Army recruiting events throughout the Southeast. Former RU Music Major, Matt Barbre, will be providing the trumpet playing in the group…come out to hear a former student!
