Celebrate the Appalachian Trail with weekend hikes with Mountain Lake. On Friday, September 22nd join Mountain Lake staff members for a free hike to Wind Rock.

The hiking group will depart Mountain Lake at 6 pm.

The Wind Rock hike is a short, moderate 0.4 mile hike that follows the Appalachian Trail eastward to an overlook located on Salt Pond Mountain. The Wind Rock Overlook offers sweeping Northwest views of Rocky Mountains (3300'), Fork Mountain (3645') and Peter's Mountain (4000').

These hikes are free and open to the public.
