Description:
Join the Blacksburg Public Library in a celebration for the 225th Anniversary of the U.S. Constitution on Monday, September 17th.

The program will begin with Blacksburg Mayor Ron Rordam reading the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Proclamation and speaking about the significance of the U.S. Constitution.

Members of the Alleghany Chapter of the DAR will then read the Constitution which is said to be a “profoundly moving experience” that will take less than an hour.

This program will provide an opportunity for community members to consider the achievements and vision of our Founding Fathers and the actions of Americans who made governance by “We the People” possible.

Free pocket-size booklets of the Constitution will be made available to attendees.
