The Blacksburg Library presents "From Thirteen Nations to One Country: 1775-1789" on Thursday, September 13th led by Melvyn Jay Huber.
Melvyn Jay Huber will share some convenient myths and inconvenient facts about these topics and more. Mr. Huber studied American constitutional development with Professor Harold Zink at DePauw University. He also studied English constitution and legal history as well as Anglo-American legal relations with Professor Coen G. Pierson at DePauw.
At Columbia Law School Mel studied constitutional law with Professor Noel T. Dowling and the development of legal institutions with Professor Julius Goebbel. Mel was a lawyer in New York and Virginia for 56 years and recently retired from the Wagner & Huber law firm here in Blacksburg. He is a veteran who served in the Marine Corps Reserve from 1947-58, and was on active duty during the Korean War.
