Description:
Blacksburg Library presents "The Constitution: An Overview" on Monday, September 24th with Phillip Spence. This is the second part of the series.
September 17 is Constitution Day. This federal holiday is set aside to celebrate the day the structure of government in the United States of America was signed into law. A basic understanding of the Constitution is necessary to understand the powers and limitations of the federal government yet few have spent any time studying the nation’s founding document or been exposed to it.
Phillip Spence, founding member of the 2nd Tuesday Constitution Group and owner of Minute Man Books & Mercantile in New Castle, VA, will provide an introduction and overview of the U.S. Constitution.
This two-part series will provide a basic understanding of the country we live in and the rights we have.
