As part of Blacksburg's 2012 Celebrate Sustainability Week, join in a special Tree Planting on Tuesday, September 18th near the Owens Dining Hall and Payne Hall on the campus of Virginia Tech.

Tree plantings have become an annual Sustainability Week event! All materials needed for planting (trees, shovels, etc.) will be provided, just show up to help. Approximately 15 native trees will be planted during the event.

Celebrate Sustainability 2012, a collaborative effort of Virginia Tech, the Town of Blacksburg and Sustainable Blacksburg will be held September 18 through 20, 2012. A more unhurried version of previous years’ Sustainability Week events, this year’s theme, Celebrate Sustainability, encourages us all to take a deep breath and look around at the “Green” efforts that are part of our wonderful community – and to celebrate all that has been accomplished.
