Join the Roanoke-Blacksburg Technology Council for a celebration of the Roanoke - Blacksburg region's technology community. The Gala is our largest speaker event and an opportunity to network with over 400 leaders in business and innovation. This year's keynote will be delivered by Phillip Merrick, Co-Founder and former Chairman and CEO of webMethods, Inc., a leading vendor of business integration software.
Prior to co-founding Bibury Partners, Phillip was Co-Founder and CEO of webMethods, Inc., a leading vendor of business integration software. Under his leadership, the company pioneered web services and XML-based software integration technologies, demonstrated the strongest revenue growth of any US software company in the period 1998 through 2002, and achieved the most successful software IPO to date in February of 2000. Awards Phillip has received include KPMG and E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year, Washington, DC "Titan of Business", and CRN "Top 25 Executive". More recently he led the development of VisualCV, Inc, a critically acclaimed online multimedia resume website. Phillip has also served as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence for the Wharton School Executive MBA program, and as Chairman of the Board at RollStream.
