The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) at Christiansburg High along with sponsor Shelor Motor Mile will host the annual FBLA Variety Show in the Christiansburg High School auditorium on Saturday, September 22nd.
This show is held each year not only to raise money for the FBLA but also to give students the opportunity to display their talent and entertain the general public. The evening is completed with the crowning of Mr. and Miss CHS.
The FBLA Variety Show being one of the oldest traditions at CHS is an entertainment-filled evening for the young and old alike. Many door prizes graciously donated by area merchants will be awarded.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top five acts at the show. Prizes include: 1st place $200, 2nd place $125, 3rd place $100, 4th place $75, 5th place $50.
All proceeds from this talent show benefit the Christiansburg High FBLA.
Shelor Motor Mile is excited to host a local talent competition for high school students and award schools and students close to $50,000 in prize money.
Two representatives from each local high school in the New River Valley will compete to win the Grand Prize of $2,500 and $20,000 for their school. Each local high school will hold a talent show at their school and select two representatives to move on to the finale show.
The Growing the Future Talent Show Finale will be held October 20th at the Christiansburg High School Auditorium at 7 pm.
Local high schools participating include Floyd County, Auburn, Christiansburg, Pulaski, Radford, Blacksburg, Giles County and Narrows.
