Description:
Come participate in the Blacksburg Southern Mountain Square Dance at the Homestead Farm Dance Barn in Riner on Saturday, October 6th.

Phil Louer is scheduled to be the caller, the band is Indian Run String Band. The Indian Run String Band’ features Paul Herling on fiddle, Ginger Wagner on banjo, Mark Barbour on guitar, and Christie Dorfler on bass.

Blacksburg Southern Mountain Square Dance, sponsored since 1981 by the Old-time Music and Dance Group of Blacksburg, presenting the finest square dance callers and old-time bands to bring you the oldest and funnest dance in Virginia!

Partners and square dance experience are not necessary- the caller teaches every dance! Please wear shoes that won't mar the floor.

Refreshments are available and this is a student, family-friendly and smoke free event. Children under 12 are free.

Homestead Farm is located at 5558 Homestead Road in Riner.
