Description:
The Glen Alton Jamboree and Dance will be held on Saturday, October 13th at the Glen Alton Recreation Center.

Live music by Black Twig Pickers, Dean Reed, Bill Richardson, Nathan Bowles, and Sharon Stacy. The Square Dance begins at 5pm. WNRV Radio will be recording for this to be aired at a later date on the WNRV Jamboree show.

There will also be nature walks (with a guide or without), a blacksmithing demonstration, and children's play events.

Bring a picnic, chairs, instruments (if you want to jam), etc... and if you've never been to Glen Alton you are in for a treat, it is truly one of the hidden treasures of Giles County.

Directions: Rt. 460 to Giles County between Pearisburg and Pembroke; Rt. 635 Big Stony Creek Road 14 miles; Glen Alton drive is on the left. follow to parking lot.
