Kent Jewelers and Downtown Blacksburg, Inc. announce the 4th Annual Pretty in Pink downtown fundraiser. This event will benefit the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation (VBCF) and will take place on Thursday, October 25th.

The Pretty In Pink Happy Hour will take place in Kent Square's 4th floor atrium and will include Pink Margarita’s, food, a Silent Auction and Music for the Tata’s by DJ Kerri Taylor to help raise funds and awareness for the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation.

Dr. Carla Finkielstein, Board Member of VBCF and Associate Professor at Virginia Tech, will share how research in Blacksburg is working to eradicate Breast Cancer.

$10 donation to the VBCF gets you three drink tickets. Beer and Wine are 1 ticket each, Cabo Pink Margaritas are 2 tickets.

Pink Cupcakes with Gemstones will be sold for $5. One of the cupcakes will contain a Half Carat Diamond – available at Next Door Bake Shop and Kent Jewelers while they last.

And don't forget to SHOP downtown! Participating Downtown Blacksburg Merchants will be donating 10% of their proceeds for the day to VBCF - look for the PINK ribbon! Many businesses will also be providing special pink refreshments and shopping incentives throughout the day.

Founded in 1991, the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation (VBCF) is the only statewide non-profit 501c3 organization committed solely to the eradication of breast cancer through education of and advocacy for Virginians. Each year VBCF provides thousands of individuals at the community level with accurate, up-to-date information on breast cancer early detection, diagnosis, treatment, research, legislation, and survivorship.
