Description:
Downtown Blacksburg, Inc. and the Office of Multicultural Programs and Services at Virginia Tech introduce “Dining OUT for Equality Week,” to be held from October 22nd to the 26th. This event is being organized to show support for the Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender Community and to promote locally owned restaurant offerings.
Participating restaurants include:
Bollo’s, Cabo Fish Taco, Café de Bangkok, Champs, Gillie’s, Next Door Bake Shop, T. Flynn’s Pub, Green’s, and Souvlaki.

October is LGBT History Month and is an annual observance of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender history, and the history of the gay rights and related civil rights movements. Originally started in 1994, it has grown significantly over the past few years and is being celebrated for the first time at Virginia Tech this October.
