The Creekmore Law Firm presents a special seminar entitled "Intellectual Property Law for Businesses, Entrepreneurs, Artists and The Counsel Who Advise Them" on Friday, October 26th at the Blacksburg Country Club.

All aspects of intellectual property - including trademarks, copyrights and patents - are the foundational elements for every successful business, entrepreneur and creative venture today. The legal landscape for each is ever changing, creating difficulties and uncertainties for everyone engaged in the creative arts, businesses large and small, and the counsel who advise them.

Through our program, we will take an entertaining and informative look at the intellectual property laws that most often come into play for all those creative geniuses out there. We will break down the substantive legal principles for each as well as provide insight from recent cases and trends in the law. We’ll also offer guidance on hot topics and best practices for businesses and their counsel. Moderated and audience initiated question and answer sessions will focus the discussion on topics pertinent to your needs. No topic, issue or question of concern is off limits, and we will explore those areas most relevant to our attendees.

The program is open to and pertinent for artists - professional and amateur alike, business owners and decision-makers, attorneys in private or government practice, in-house counsel, marketers and advertisers, educators and students, and anyone interested in expanding his or her understanding of intellectual property law.

The Blacksburg Country Club will provide both lunch and a reception for our guests, all of which is included the registration fee.
