Description:
The Floyd Historical Society and The Jacksonville Center for the Arts will present “Tempests, Ghosts and Mad Queens” on Friday, November 2nd at 7:30 PM at The Jacksonville Center.
The program features Scott Williamson, Artistic Director of Opera Roanoke along with members of the Apprentice Program at the Company. This is an innovative program of songs, scenes, poetry, theatre and dance. Everything will be staged, performers dressed in costume with dancing in two of the scenes. Mr. Williamson will sing, conduct and narrate the evening, interweaving poetry between the scenes.
This is the first time the Historical Society and The Jacksonville Center have collaborated on an event.
A “Meet the Artists” Champagne and Wine Reception will follow the performance. The program will take place in the community room at the Jax.
